Yokomo has launched the all-new Rookie Speed RS2.0, an entry-level electric touring car (hereinafter referred to as RS2.0). This model offers better value for money, stronger performance, and improved handling. The RS2.0 features a chassis and upper deck made of resin material, making it more flexible and enhancing traction. Additionally, the RS2.0 is equipped with front and rear short-stroke shock absorbers and shock towers. The overall length of the car has been reduced by approximately 10mm, and the shock towers are lower, resulting in a lower center of gravity, further enhancing handling performance.
The design of equal-length belts for the front and rear ensures more stable throttle control, resulting in smoother cornering performance. The RS2.0 also features a mid-motor layout, along with front and rear gear differentials and universal shafts, providing more precise handling and driving experience. The motor mount has been redesigned, allowing for the installation of both brushed and brushless motors, offering greater flexibility in power options. The aluminum motor mount not only enhances durability but also ensures a more secure motor installation.
Additionally, the RS2.0 is equipped with adjustable upper arms and steering links, full ball bearings, and a battery tray that can accommodate standard battery packs, further enhancing the vehicle’s reliability and handling performance.
The RS2.0 is also compatible with the springs used in Yokomo’s current competition models, expanding the tuning range and offering greater adaptability. The product number is RSR-020.
